How to Use a Webcam with WowApp? (Windows)

Having a webcam connected to your PC will allow you to make video calls via WowApp.

To install a new webcam, follow the manufacturer's instructions to connect it to your PC.

Your computer will automatically install the webcam's software (or you may have to manually install the webcam via a manufacturer provided disc).

When the software finished installing, open WowApp and check if the webcam is working properly by clicking on Tools -> Settings -> Video.

Do you see yourself in the video? If yes, then it's all set!

1. If not, take a look at Select camera and see if your webcam is detected.
2. Until your camera is detected by WowApp, you won't be able to use our application for video-calling. So let's close all the applications that may be using your webcam (for example, virtual camera or video editing software, browsers or other instant messengers). 
3. Is your camera not integrated to your computer? If it isn't, then unplug it and then plug it to another USB slot. Also, unplug any device that is sharing the same USB slot that your camera uses. 
4. After following all these steps, check again to see if WowApp detects your webcam. 

How to Start and Leave a Group Chat? (Windows)

To start a new group chat:

1. Open WowApp.
2. From the Contacts tab, tap CTRL on your keyboard and click on the contacts you want to add to a group chat.
3. Now right click one of the contacts and select Start Group Chat.
4. A pop-up window with all the contacts you added will appear.

To end your chat:

1. From the group chat window, press on Conversation.
2. Select Leave Conversation.

Can I Delete an Individual Chat Message?

1. From a chat window, right click on a message and select Delete Messages.
2. Check all the messages that you want to delete and click Delete.

Can I Retrieve Chat Messages I Deleted?

For the time being, you will not be able to retrieve deleted chat messages.

How to Create a WowApp Group Chat on an Android Device

To create a WowApp group chat on any Android device, follow these easy steps:

1. Open WowApp on your smartphone or tablet.

2. Go to the Activity screen.

3. Tap on Create Group Chat icon

4. Enter a name/topic for your croup chat.

5. Then tap inside the Type contact name box and enter the name of the person who you want to add to the group.

6. To delete member, tap on the X icon located near his name.

7. Tap the option to Save to Contacts if you want to have this group always in your contacts list.

8. When you're satisfied with all the changes, tap on Create.

Congratulations! You've just created your first group chat!

How to Block/Unblock a Contact (Windows)

Follow these steps:

1. Open WowApp.
2. Go to your Contacts list and right click on the contact you want to block.
3. Then select Block Contact.
4. You can now select if you want to also Unfriend that particular contact.
5. Make the desired changes and click Block.

 Unblocking a Contact

1. Open WowApp.
2. Click on Contacts -> Blocked Contacts.
3. Select the contact you want to unblock and click Remove -> Save.

How to Retrieve Your Username and/or Password?

In case you have forgotten your password, please follow the steps below to retrieve it:

1. Go to the Forgot your username or password link.
2. Enter the email address or username you set up with WowApp.
3. Tap SUBMIT.
4. You will receive an email containing your username as well as a link to have your password reset.
5. To reset your password, click on the link.
6. Enter a new password.
7. Verify that the password you entered is correct.
8. You password has now been reset.

How to Change Your Profile Picture (Windows)

Adding a profile picture directly from your computer

1. Log in to WowApp.
2. Left click on the Avatar icon located at the top left side of the screen.
3. Select Browse and locate the picture you wish to add on your computer. The picture can have the .bmp, .jpeg, .jpg or .png format and it will be automatically resized to fit the default size.
4. After you add a new avatar, it will be displayed for all your friends to see.

Taking a photo with the webcam

1. Log in to WowApp.
2. Left click on the Avatar icon located at the top left side of the screen.
3. To take a picture using the webcam, click on Take Picture.
4. Make the pose you desire and click on Take Picture again.
5. If you’re satisfied with the image, click Save.
6. If you want to take another picture, click Cancel and try again until you're satisfied!

Stay up to date with the newest improvements and features by updating WowApp to the latest version!

1. Open your iPhone and tap on AppStore.
2. Go to the Updates tab

     3. Tap on Update and wait for the newest version of the app to install.

WowApp can automatically update as soon as we release a new version of the app if you enable Automatic Downloads from the AppStore:

1. Open your iPhone and tap on Settings.
2. Then tap on iTunes & App Store.

     3. Under AUTOMATIC DOWNLOADS, make sure Apps is turned to ON (green).

If you have unlimited Cellular Data, you can also turn that option to On (green). Otherwise, leave it Off (white) and the apps will automatically download only when you are connected to WiFi.
